Current Guild Rankings

Guild Rankings and Leaders as of November 26th, 2012

Been a few shifts from the last rankings report, Supernova has fallen to the minors and appears some of the people from there left and have joined a couple of other guilds.

*On the standing page main map it shows Hera as ranked 22, but shows it also ranked lower on the minors page.  Hera is kept on the main map for historical reasons, being first guild, so it's ranked incorrectly to keep it on the main map. Its proper rank is shown here.

Report From the Cryo Chamber

I awake from my cryo chamber and look around with blurry eyes... Seems that there has been little change in the universe for a millennium and wonder,  Space is so big, people are spread into the far depths, light years away from each other.  There must be a place we can meet, a neutral zone... Occasionally I see life on the official "Tiny Empires 3000" Group comm channel and the  official "TE3000 Directors Alliance" Group channel.  The only place where you might run into another player is the Tiny Empires Upgrade Station, but if you loiter around there, you could be accused of recruiting, which is not allowed there.  Wouldn't it be nice if there was a place for us to meet and hangout and not worry about being accused of recruiting. As of this writing I know of no such place.

There are several unofficial groups related to Tiny Empires 3000, some who are "free speech" and or "recruiting groups," but they tend to be small and very quiet.

So wouldn't it be nice if there was a Neutral Help Center, maybe like a Star Wars bar, where we can meet and offer help to new players and get to know each other better?  Maybe even pick up a subordinate...

Maybe I'm dreaming and I really didn't wake up from my cryo sleep...

The Black (Loop) Hole

Many of us know that in Tiny Empires 3000, that once your a Guild Leader, there is no easy way to abdicate or pass your guild on to a subordinate under you.  Unlike the classic game of Tiny Empires which does have abdication, which subjects the Monarch wishing to abdicate, to a number negative effects within the game.  But some do decide to take this course of action and quite often, someone under them takes control of their kingdom.

There is no formal way to abdicate in Tiny Empires 3000. There are several Minor Guilds whose Guild Leaders have basically quit playing and cut their subordinates loose to pursue their own dreams. But if you really want to quit playing Tiny Empires 3000, Ultralite Soleil will grant you a request to be removed from the game.  Now if your a Guild Leader, your Guild will cease to exist, your subordinates will end up without a superior, and you, if you decide to play Tiny Empires 3000 ever again will have to get a new HUD and start from scratch, all over again.  I also suspect, that if you were able to form a new Guild again, you probably won't be allowed to reuse the same Guild name you used previously.

Basically what this sounds like to me is, it is like setting your Guild on a course into a Black Hole in space. Everyone gets sucked into the Black Hole, nothing comes out...The only evidence that your Guild ever existed, maybe a footnote on the Tiny Empires 3000 Wiki or in a past post on this Blog...

From the Shadows Emerges Tunaverse Immortalis!

September 16th, 2012 the Tunaverse Immortalis Guild is formed by Guild Leader The Wizard of Odd (tuna.oddfellow).  "I ascended from Shadow Guild at August 3019," he said from his tuna can... err Starbase.
Tuna had this to say on his ascension:
"It has been a true delight spending the time I have had with Shadow Guild.  Now it is time to spread our wings.   I am so proud of the commitment of those who are joining us.  This is our ascension and they share in the success. I could not do it with out them.
Long live Tunaverse Immortalis"
Tuna also claims to be somewhat famous:
"My avatar won Avatars Got Talent in 2007 and appeared on America's Got Talent on NBC and I won a million Linden dollars which was the largest prize in Second Life back in the day...  My life is stranger than fiction.
Million SL Dollars... think that's about $1000 US.... Probably wrong, math is my weakness.

Congratulations to Guild Leader Tuna Oddfellow and his new Guild,  Tunaverse Immortalis!

Guild Goes Supernova!

February 4th, 2012 [Jun 3598] and about 1:34 pm Nicole Perian launched her new guild, "Supernova" from within The Mu Federation.  Nicole was unavailable at the time of this report so I asked Mu Federation Guild Leader Buckaroo Mu his thoughts:
Alamiga Anatine: Will be writing about "Supernova's" birth in the TE3K blog, I'm assuming a positive thing from your perspective?

Buckaroo Mu: Absolutely. It's an honor to midwife another guild into the game. This is the 3rd guild to ascend directly from us, and the 9th in our "family tree". I'm quite proud of them all.
I had a peek at Supernova's group charter and gathered the following from it:
Supernova - an explosion of a massive, super-giant star...that shines with the brilliance of 10 billion suns!  We are a friendly, kooky, and peaceful Guild ..fun-loving, and no sabotage.  The third line to Guild under  the leadership of Buckaroo Mu, of Mu trade.....we count among our many friends...the Federation Alliance, and Swank.....
Nicole Perian, Guild Leader

Congratulations Nicole and Supernova!

There's RED TAPE Everywhere!

Very recently there has been reports of mysterious RED TAPE appearing all over the TE3K Universe!  When you  buy or sell a ship you get one, five from the Mysterious Black Diamond Vessel. It's looking like from almost any activity at this time!  What is it for?  No one knows yet...  Below is the one I got for buying a ship, and how it appears in your accounting tab.

Incoming Finds:
Nathalie Schnute: I just got 5 RED TAPES for doing the call of leadership, Step 2. That's the one with the hydro farm cultures. And I got the colonists increase as given in former times too. Cost for that step is 400000000. But 5 red tapes is amazing.

Have your own theory or know something we don't yet?  Got RED TAPES from some odd place? Please Leave a comment, or IM Alamiga Anatine in Second Life, if you think it warrants a new post!

Robyn Hirano Launches 33rd Guild!

January 19, 2012 Today Robyn Hirano  initiated the launch of Tiny Empires 3000's 33rd Guild, calling it the Andromeda Alliance.  She ascended from Hades Revolution. The news was announced as such:
Nov 3993] Guildleader Robyn Hirano formed the guild "Andromeda Alliance".
[Mar 3994] Rebel Queen Tia Antwerp left her old superior Guildleader Toohey Paneer of Hades Revolution and joined with Guildleader Robyn Hirano of Andromeda Alliance.
[Apr 3994] Robyn Hirano now leads one of the top ten guilds in the sector.
I asked Robyn for a quote upon her ascension, she said:
Is there truth in the myth?
Do phoenixes exist?
Resurrection of the Rebellion in Andromeda!
Congratulations Robyn and The Andromeda Alliance!
